Coach Becky’s Philosophy
Becky founded Choose A Life You Love with the belief that each person deserves to truly enjoy their life—not just vacations or weekends, but their entire life, career and all. We only have today this once. Becky believes we each deserve to love it. For Becky personally, living a life she loves means utilizing her unique gifts to help people understand themselves better and move forward with clarity and confidence!

Career Coach & Life Coach – Becky’s Unique Approach Combines Empathy and Strategy
As a career coach and life coach, Becky helps her clients discover what they most want, develop a strategy for creating that for themselves, and start taking action to build careers and lives they truly enjoy so they can feel fulfilled and energized each and every day.

At a time when clients are seeking answers, Becky coaches them to ask themselves the most challenging questions so the urge for a quick fix can be met instead with a customized opportunity for profound satisfaction and joy for many years to come. Becky’s approach is at once focused, analytical, strategic, and empathic, mindful, and intuitive. She starts where the client is, moves on to where the client wants to be, and works with each client to be sure they have a good plan they actually want to implement to get there. The questions Becky asks and the warm but challenging way she asks them help clients learn and grow so they can start to make the changes they crave without getting bogged down in self-blame or self-doubt.

Unlike many career counselors who might help clients find the best vocational options for them given the job opportunities currently available in the market, Becky coaches clients to uncover their deepest, most precious and personal dreams, often resulting in clients building unique careers not typically seen in career guidebooks. Becky tailors her approach to best meet the needs of each client, drawing from modalities such as: mindfulness, externalizing narratives, strengths-based interviewing, management consulting frameworks, and more.

With her inspiring, directive coaching style, Becky’s clients think of her as an invaluable partner and describe her as a “warm,” “empathetic,” “challenging” coach who “cares deeply” and “takes her commitment to helping her clients move forward very seriously.”

Executive Coach & Strategy and Management Consultant
Beginning in 2012, Becky has provided executive coaching to executive directors of nonprofits, small business owners, entrepreneurs, independent artists, and policy makers, helping them to grow their businesses, improve their leadership and management skills, set clearer goals, hold themselves and their teams accountable, and build opportunities for growth in new and exciting ways to keep the work they do energizing and meaningful. Between 2008 and 2013 Becky worked with more than two dozen organizations as a management consultant helping senior executives and boards of directors set new long term business goals and develop comprehensive strategies to reach them.

This unique element of Becky’s training has made her a coach who can help any client develop a strategy that will get them from wherever they are now in their career or education to any place they realize they want to be. If one approach does not work, Becky is a master at coming up with a fresh new method for helping clients achieve their goals. She considers all the variables, asks smart questions, puts her clients to work with challenging homework assignments, and keeps her clients moving forward.
